My heart sank
like the Titanic
into the cold
never to see
the world above again.
Plunging nose down
toward the dark unknown
of which only
grains of sand
know the tall tales
that the waves whisper
to them in the deep.
With a split
straight down the side
and a tare
right down the middle
it is venerable
to the thousand piercing knives
that the stiff water
embellishes them with.
All becomes frigid as
metal in the wintertime
when raw hands grasp it.
Silently the swells
roll in and suck you down
with the tip
going out of view
and the ocean's stomach is full
with its midnight snack.
The boat sinks into death
as my heart sinks
into love.

- Katara? What are you doing? She glanced up and smiled at Zuko.
- Im reading, what does it look like to you? He chuckled and went over to the couch she had curled up in. He leaned over the front of the book as if to try and figure out if it was anything of interest to him. The next thing Katara knew, she was lying on her side, squeezed in between the back of the couch and his warm body, wrapped in his arms and a thick blanket. She giggled.
- Well, that was one way to get my attention! She sat up into an awkward position, and grabbed her book again. Zuko groaned in disappointment, but she simply placed the book on the table

Pretty
I met a girl once who told me I was pretty.
I simply shook my head and laughed, then in a manner so as to not make her feel stupid for saying such a thing, I answered,
"Oh, thank you so much! I think you're pretty to!"
To where she commented,
"Oh no! You're just being nice!"
The thing is, she was indeed pretty, the kind of pretty that made you feel like a lucky idiot to even be looked at by her.
This happened many times with many people of both gender. Boys who didn't think they were cute, girls who thought they were too fat. To me though, they were the most beautiful people in the world.
There were many I fell in love with only to fin
